ONE PREVIOUS OWNER FROM NEW., RED, Gardner Douglas Sports Cars first began trading in 1990 fronted by Andy Burrows whose background was structural engineering. His take on the Cobra Chassis was more akin to Lotus, having a fully triangulated backbone chassis with a semi-monocoque GRP body. The body is isolated from the chassis via 14 rubberised mounting bushes, thus giving a less harsh ride than most other Cobra recreations. The other unique Gardner Douglas feature is the body can be removed completely from the chassis within Two hours. The Gardner Douglas with its Racing History and rave magazine reviews is a modern interpretation of the Classic 60’s Cobra rather than a copy of the original. It is considered that Gardner Douglas offer one of the best modern driving experiences of any Cobra replica. , This particular Mk3 Gardner Douglas was built privately by the first owner but finished off by the Factory and registered as a Gardner Douglas in 2002 and finished in Bright Red with 17 inch Image Wheels and Magnolia Hide. The 350 small block Chevy V8 with High Lift Cam 4 Barrel Holly Carb, and Tremec Five Speed gearbox were supplied new by V8 Specialists Roadcraft of East Sussex. It boasts a detailed Engine Bay, Stainless Steel Exhaust, Twin Chrome Roll Hoops and Bumpers and comes complete with a Tonneau Cover. This GD Cobra is beautifully built and drives superb, Very Quick yet, easy to drive, even my wife drove this one and said "WOW what a nice car that is", Complete with 12 months parts and labour warranty.
